Ryan Schubert is entering his second season on the Marymount baseball coaching staff in 2018, assisting with the pitchers and catchers.
Prior to Marymount, Schubert spent two years as an Assistant Coach at Annandale High School, where he was the Varsity Pitching and Catching Coach.
Aside from coaching at MU, Schubert works for Mike Cassidy at Metro Baseball Academy as a Lead Instructor and Personal Trainer, along with serving as the Head Coach for the Metro Senators 16U team. He is also Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Physiologist.
Schubert played his college ball at Longwood University, where he walked on as a freshman. As a sophomore, he appeared in 17 games, went 4-1 with 3 saves and a 2.60 ERA. By his junior season, he gained Pitching Captain honors, as he helped guide the Lancers to a conference semifinal finish in Longwood's first year as a member of the Big South Conference. He graduated from Longwood with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science.
Schubert grew up in Springfield, Virginia and attended Annandale High School.
